Cardamom Turmeric Latte

I absolutely love the changing of seasons!  There is so much renewed energy and excitement in the air. However, my favorite time of year is Fall.  Maybe it's the crisp cozy air, the nostalgia, the holidays, family time...and definitely soups, stews and teas!

Here is one of my favorite herbal teas.  It is incredibly calming, grounding and a body & soul enhancing tonic. 

Recipe:

1 cup Almond Milk (homemade is best!)

1 tsp Gaia Herbs Golden Milk

1 tsp Sun Potion Pine Pollen

1 drop doTerra Cardamom Essential Oil

Gently heat the almond milk and add the Golden Milk and Pine Pollen, stirring well. I like to use a small whisk so that I can brake up any chances of the herbal powders.

Once heated turn off the heat and add one drop of Cardamom Essential Oil and stir to incorporate.

Pour into a nice mug and enjoy!

Gaia's Golden Milk is a blend of turmeric, dates and herbs. Turmeric is rich in Curcumin a powerful anti-inflammatory and strong antioxidant.  Inflammation is a known contributor to many diseases including heart disease, cancer, alzheimer's and various others.  Curcumin is so powerful that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs (source: PubMed Altern Med Rev. 2009 Jun; 14 (2):141-53) without all the side effects that come with using synthetic medicine. Wherever possible, always start with Nature's solutions first. You might be surprised at how powerful and effective "plant magic" is. 

Pine Pollen is reputed to be a potent aphrodisiac. It enters all 5 meridians and offers incredible hormone support. Regular consumption is said to support a healthy metabolism, immune response and enhance whole body function.

Cardamom is one of my favorite cooking spices. This essential oil supports your digestive system, immune and liver function, keeps you regular, eases any indigestion and stomach discomfort, it promotes clear breathing and supports the cardiovascular system.
